March 18, 2021 – Los Angeles, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce Seacoast United Mariners as its newest expansion club ahead of the Spring Season.
Based in Portland, ME, Seacoast United Mariners will begin UPSL play in the Northeast Conference Patriot Division. The club will host its home games at Deering High School (370 Stevens Ave., Portland, ME 04103).
Seacoast United Mariners are a branch of Seacoast United Sports Club, which offers numerous programs at its various indoor and outdoor facilities throughout New England. Seacoast United Mariners will now compete exclusively in the UPSL.
UPSL Northeast Conference Manager Paul Konneh said, "Getting a Pro Development team in Maine is a great thing for the UPSL and for American soccer. We are really excited to welcome Seacoast United Mariners to the Patriot Division. Seacoast United is among the most prestigious clubs in New England. They have big plans and have been growing steadily into new markets. We look forward to seeing the Mariners on the pitch this spring."
Paul Willis is President of Seacoast United SC. Andrew Pelletier is the General Manager. Pat Keary will serve as Head Coach of Seacoast United Maine.
"Seacoast United Mariners are extremely excited to be a part of the UPSL for the 2021 season! After a difficult year for everyone – our Men's program is looking forward to a competitive Summer within the Patriot Premier Division. The team will be based out of Portland, Maine and will be excited to play within this great division within the UPSL," Pelletier said.
The club will announce its upcoming game schedule.

Seacoast United Mariners can participate in the qualifying rounds for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup through their affiliation and membership with the UPSL, the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
