February 3, 2021 – Los Angeles, CA – UPSL Women is pleased to announce Capistrano Football Club as its newest expansion team ahead of the Spring Season.

Based in San Juan Capistranos, CA, Capo FC will begin play in the Western Conference SoCal Division. The club will host its UPSL home games at JSerra Catholic High School (26351 Junipero Serra Rd, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675).

Peter Carey is Owner and President of Capo FC, a member of the UPSL since 2020.

UPSL Women National Director Paul Caligiuri said, "We are thrilled to welcome Capo FC to UPSL Women. Peter Carey cares deeply about people and soccer, and the club has been waiting about an opportunity to play in a sanctioned national league. We're excited to provide that opportunity and wish them the best this Spring."

Steven Carey is Vice President and General Manager of Capo FC. Tiffany VanTress is Treasurer. Tania Martinez is Secretary.

"We are a community-based club and we're proud to expand our growth from youth to pro development by adding a team in UPSL Women," Carey said. "We're now the first club to offer both men's and women's pro development teams out of San Juan Capistrano."

The club will announce tryouts and its upcoming game schedule.
